MRF Limited (Madras Rubber Factory) is an India-based company engaged in manufacturing, distribution and sale of tyres for various kinds of vehicles. The company is primarily engaged in the manufacture of rubber products, such as tyres, tubes, flaps, tread rubber and conveyor belt. It exports to more than 65 countries. Although the factory was just a small shed without any machines, a variety of products, ranging from balloons and latex-cast squeaking toys to industrial gloves and contraceptives, were produced. During this time, MRF established its first office at 334, Thambu Chetty Street, Madras (now Chennai), Tamil Nadu, India. The company was incorporated as a private limited company on 5 November. The company manufactured automobile, aircraft, bicycle tires and tubes in collaboration with the Mansfield Tire & Rubber Company of Mansfield. The tires were sold under the trade name Mansfield Tyres (MRF). What started as a rubber balloon factory with a funding of Rs.14, 000 way back in the 40’s is now a multibillion legacy that produces, quality tyres used all around India & internationally along with a presence in paints & coats, toys, motorsports and cricket training.

Tyres are now handed over to the Vehicle Dynamics Group, who now validates the design on the vehicle. These tests are done at the test track in a series of manoeuvres at various speeds, pushing the tyres to the limits of its capabilities. MRF also tests tyres on fleets across the country to ensure that the tyres have endured successfully all the types of roads on which our customers travel daily. Race Tracks and Indian Roads are our laboratories. Only after this do we give any tyres to the customer – all global players manufacturing a global class of vehicles. MRF has been designing tyres this class of vehicles for more than a decade now. MRF tyres have met the demanding requirements of these vehicles, backed by an R&D team which is completely in-house and self reliant.

  2. I have purchased Maruti Swift ZXI on 17/09/2015. In first we felt low pressure on one of the tyre we checked for puncture but didnt found.
Last week also I Experienced same and found three punctures but didnt found any sharp object, I was at highway and no other option was there other than
repairing i told mechanic to repair it. Yesterday night again low pressure found in same tyre, as it was again late i ask mechanic to fill air and i left
Today morning i found no air in same tyre. I called mechanic and he checked and said no sharp object found and there must be some problem with tyre only
Right now i m doing but take this to service centre. I went to Kataria automobiles(dealer) there they said this department is not under and you have to contact
to MRF Tyres and they gave me complaint letter. From there I went MRF Dealer they checked and found 5 repaired puncture and said now this is not our responsibility.
You have call us first if you faced this problem, I just want to tell that if my car tyre got punctured in my dreams also i would never think i have to call
MRF company, Every one would go for nearest mechanic as there first option, Second thing i am not technical person that i will come to know what is wrong with
tyre like is that a leakage or puncture, third thing on selling of tyre you have to give this kind of booklet if you are following so much rules. Dont sale
your tyres without instructions as today i came to know that after repairing of puncture this is not company’s responsibilty. Its out of company responsibility
if you are following this so much strictly that please give some guidelines for this. Help me for this as I got very rude response from your dealer and they rejected
to replace my tyre. And gave Rejection letter too without supervisor checking which is very frustating. Also i hope MRF is a big brand and checking quality of tyres
before they supply it to car Manufactuers. After this kind of behaviour and reponse i cant trust MRF brand because within 3 months only tyre are creating problems
and dealers are saying they are not responsible which is very frustating I hope i dont have to go consumer forums for this
